Accelerated Designs Adds Library Support for Zuken’s CR-8000 and CR-5000
April 15, 2016 | ZukenEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Zuken’s CR-8000 and CR-5000PCB design platforms will now offer users access to more than 7 million symbols, footprints and 3D STEP models from Accelerated Designs.
Accelerated Designs, based in Huntsville, Alabama, is the premier content provider for PCB-based design libraries. The company collaborates with numerous semiconductor and component suppliers to offer a wide range of Integrated Circuits (ICs), discrete components and connectors.
“We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Zuken supporting their CR-8000 and CR-5000 design platforms,” says Frank Frank, CEO of Accelerated Designs. “Our high quality library addresses a real need as companies look to alternative methods for library creation. Accelerated Designs shifts the effort from creation to validation, which significantly speeds the library development effort.”
Kent McLeroth, President and CEO of Zuken USA, said, “Library development continues to be a challenge for new and existing customers. Our partnership with Accelerated Designs offers our CR-8000 and CR-5000 users an out-of-the-box library of 7 million components with 3D models. This is an important step as we strive to help our customers be more productive, competitive and successful.”
Users can download the parts directly from the Accelerated Designs website, based on a part search. Accelerated Designs also offers Ultra Librarian to manage the component downloads, as well as symbol and footprint customization through templates – a feature that many users find valuable in complying with company specifications.
About Accelerated Designs
Accelerated Designs is a small EDA and PCB design service company with a library tool, Ultra Librarian, that can be tailored to fit the needs of an individual or an enterprise, and an existing library of more than 7.2 million parts that can be ported to any CAD tool. Accelerated Designs was established in January 2000 in Huntsville, Alabama, and has invested more than 15 man years in developing the Ultra Librarian tool.
